The sky didn't look particularly threatening most of the morning or even in the afternoon though a snowstorm was forecast. It's Easter ffs! Figures after a winter of almost no snow, we'd get a bunch now. Poor little crocuses (crocii?) trying to poke their noses through! I was coming to Mom's for a sleepover and because there was a storm coming, she came over to get me a bit earlier and we stopped for a visit with my aunt and uncle who are recently back from a few months in Florida and are now busy planning their 50th wedding anniversary in about a month's time. Can't miss that one!
Had a chance to view the picture dvd that my cousin E. had made, most of it anyway. He went with his mother and aunt on a 7 countries in 17 days bus tour last September. His first time on a plane, train and boat and he now has the travel bug and wants to go back. He bought a digital camera and took something like 700 photos and i wanted to see them. We got through one dvd and were partway through the other but Mom was ready to leave. I love looking at travel photos! I really do! I must have a look at my version of Nero, i'm pretty sure i can create a photo dvd with it that will play on the tv. I'm sure i can add music and titles too, which would be better for identifying the photo locations. It's like making a little slideshow movie.
Mom and i picked up some fish and chips and rented a couple of movies so we'll have an evening with the telly now that the snow has indeed started. It's been coming down for about 3 hours and is now starting to stick to the roads. Easter dinner tomorrow.
ooh and i set up my new easel and did some painting this morning. I want to add another layer and i might change one bit of it before i decide it's done. It's different sitting in a chair painting on an easel at eye level rather than crouching down over the coffee table. I've got a wooden tv tray-table set up beside me to hold my paints and brushes and stuff and i've got a sheet over the chair and on the carpet to preserve that. I don't paint too much over the winter when i can't open the windows though i couldn't today either i guess lol too cold.
