Pretty good episode today i thought. A few good lines. In fact there were a lot of Brilliant little moments! After Richard outlined how he does business to Duggie and then mentioned he had a poster autographed by Jimi Hendrix in 1971 (just before his death) Duggie notes "Let me guess, you sold him a pension?" Blanche commenting to Deirdre re a possible affair between Ken and Anita "I wouldn't call it torrid. It *is* Ken we're talking about!" And the ever brilliant Roy and his light box (i don't know about you but i have old drawers just laying about feeling useless and just itching for new lives as medical equipment, don't you?) Later on Roy was industriously wiping tables but it apparently had more to do with the coffee tasting he just attended and he mutters "This is the third time i've cleaned this table!" Absolutely BRILLIANT! Also, who's performance did i enjoy the most today??? Simon Gregson as Steve!!!

Even though Karen't motivation was extremely childish, she really set Dev up well didn't she? He fell very neatly into it and all. I liked that it wrapped up quickly too. Karen sure had Gill's mobile number memorized quickly though didn't she? Loved seeing Geena's mother come apart at the seams after Geena tossed her out of her life. But i did raise an eyebrow at Dev's protest that he didn't "do anything." Did he not kiss Karen back? Did it not seem to you that he considered her offer for a split second? Sure did to me! Unlike Anita trying to kiss Ken, when he stopped her cold. Though i wasn't surprised at that. So much for Anita protesting that she's just "tactile" and only wanting to be friends. AT the first sign of Ken's self doubts she didn't waste much time plying him with sherry and moving in for the kill. I wish we would have seen more of Deirdre's venting to Ken. According to him she said a whole lot more than we saw which was barely the beginning. I've always believed she only went back to him for lack of anything better to do. He may love her but she doesnt' love him and if i was him, now that she's made it clear, I would tell her and her mother to go find other accomodations. Ken was never the love of her life, he was a security blanket.

I'm not surprised Audrey wouldnt' have paid much notice to the economic situation of the world and stock markets post-September. Did you think Gail was a bit harsh though, especially after Richard was willing to forgive and forget? Well at least when Gail asked, Audrey admitted she didn't trust Richard. Now will the two of them be pally again next week like none of this happened?

Richard and Duggie in business together? Oooh Yikes! And i wonder if Duggie realized Sunita was a kiss and tell kind of gal! Well he does now! *wink wink* But he should relax, Sunita already told him she was going to ignore everyone else's age comments. Too right, as well. Sally is right Martin's acting like Kevin did, albeit not as violent. But then if everyone kept out of everyone else's business, there would be no show! :)

Giving blood in a truck? Why didn't they set up in the Health Center? It wasnt' so strange Duggie and Richard having the same blood type, O, it's the most common after all. Good effect though, showing the blood flowing through the tube out of Matt's arm instead of just having a red tube implying the blood.

I laughed!!! Did you notice immediately after that Hazel grabbed hold of Vik's let, when the scene cut to Steve on the gambling machine, the machine gave an electronic wolf whistle? Nice use of history, Eve reminding us she's known Karen a long time (as Linda's mate). Blanche and Deirdre were really good together today. Really believable as mother and daughter. Blanche hasn't given up hope of a romance yet. If that isn't a forerunner of a romance my name isn't Yentl!

And lastly, Did you also notice the computer generated new opening? houses behind the Street old side, (i thought there were new cats? They didn't show them today i didn't think!) and the generated tram on the old viaduct. but they missed the mark, they should have added some tram sound effects randomly on the outside scenes like they do with the underground trains on Eastenders.

All in all, not bad! Not bad at all.
