So the gossip mill is in overdrive again. or maybe it never stopped, I suppose. TomKat are divorcing and becoming plain Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes again. Hands up who thought that marraige was ever going to last? I'm only mentioning it because I saw an article in today's paper talking about how this will affect the actor's brands. Huh? It's not even about image anymore, it's about their brand. So I guess divorce is rebranding. I'm surprised they aren't saying they're rebooting their lives. It's all got so ludicrous, hasn't it?

The Tom Cruise Brand will suffer and the Katie Holmes Brand will probably gain sympathy. Sheesh. More and more, celebrities are turned into things, not people. Logos. More and more all this "spin" just turns my stomach.

Apparently this all happened late last week. I missed it (who cares?). What boggles my mind are the continuing headlines and repetitive stories in the media here. I repeat, who cares? Is it the same in the Canadian papers?

Edited to add that I did see one mildly amusing comment which referred to TC's infamous jumping up and down on Oprah Winfrey's couch. The person wondered if K Holmes was jumping up and down in glee on couches now.

LOL I bet she is. I always thought it was all an arranged set up and at the end of a certain period they would split up. She probably only signed up for so long. I don't see the newspapers much anyway. I heard about it Friday and i saw that article today.

I saw one article titled TomKat through the Years as if it's been some long romance. Well I guess by Hollywood standards it is. Now there's reports of Scientology following Katie's every move?
