I decided to forgo a shower in lieu of having a wash up instead. I turned on the tap and let it run. And run and run. It wasn't get the least bit hot. I start to grumble. On occaision, the hot water runs out in the building. Or at least it used to. Something about one oil tank not automatically switching over to the other one. Anyway I bitched about this being one of those days and washed up with cold water. Then I went to turn the tap off. Except it was already off. Wha??? Yes, folks, I had turned the cold water tap on, not the hot.
Doh.
One of the things we got with wedding gift cards was a new four slice toaster. Black and Decker. Supposed to be a good name right? This toaster only seems to toast on one side of the bread, or mostly. You can see it. One side glows red, the other side of the slot doesn't though that side of the bread does get slightly toasty. Ambient heat i suppose. Press the "bagel" button and it's supposed to toast only on the inside facing bits of the slot. Which is the side it doesn't normally toast on. And it doesn't toast on that side with the bagel setting either. It seems to me I've had a toaster before that did that and it might have been a Black and Decker. My mother said she'd never been happy with anything by that brand. Anyway we were at the store where I'd got it yesterday to pick up another wedding present that was sent so I asked if I could exchange it even though it had been used for a few weeks. She say yes!!! Well, that's it. I'm going to take that back as soon as I can and even if it's past the 30 days i can still exchange it and i can always pay the difference if the next one is more expensive. I still have a rat load of gift cards.
