Air Canada has launched a winter seat sale and I can get my flight to the UK over Easter (to bring home my husband for good!) for a pretty good price, but i have to leave a day earlier than I planned. Never mind. I land on a day where G. is still at work but I think what I'll do is get off in London and go into the city and take the train since I can then take my time and get into Manchester around the time he gets off work. An advance price is 21 pounds for the train and it might cost about that to get into the city and a cab to Euston so that's cheaper than buying a British Airways flight from London to Manchester airport and having to sit around all day in an airport waiting for the connection. Here's the other thing, by that time he figures he'll have the flat cleared out so there won't be anything in it aside from a sofa where he will probably be sleeping, and a few other things. He expects to have most everything out of there including the bed! I think we'll probably have to book a cheap hotel  for a few days while we finish clearing out and seeing local friends before heading to Ipswich to see his family prior to coming home. We can stay the night before our flight to Halifax at a Heathrow airport hotel to make it easier on the day.

Here's the other thing. I might be able to get a seat sale, but I looked up one way flights for him and bloody hell! It's 2.5 times the price I'm paying for a return ticket! I thought they were selling all tickets, including returns on an individual "leg" basis but apparently not. I suppose we'll have to book him a return ticket and just not use the return part. It's a conspiracy, I tell you! I'll have a talk with the travel agent just in case there's some secret thing they do or know that use plebes don't know about.
