Some of the technical difficulties at work have been smoothed out. Just seemed like they all struck at once. Really weird shit. Stuff that worked the day before suddenly didn't and it didn't seem to be anything i did.

Still trying to work out our trip to Cape Breton in the fall. The sticking point is an internet friend who says he wants to meet up yet is very difficult to get hold of. I don't think he checks his email very often and i don't have a phone number. It'll make a difference as to where we stop for the night and on which night. He lives in the Margaree area so maybe i'll just make plans to stay in Cheticamp as it's not that far i don't think.

Had my eye test. My prescription didn't change very much but since my old frames are knackered, i'm going to get new ones plus reading glasses instead of the dreaded progressive lenses. Aggh! For the smaller amount of time i think i'll need them, i can get away without the "bifocal" lenses for this time around and he agreed. So the reading glasses are going to be these ones. The other ones will be a little bigger, rectangly with a wide arm and a bit of metal on the sides. They had dark blue but are going to order in the burgundy shade and if i like that, those will be my regular specs.
