(no subject)

Landed in the UK, what a long journey that felt like. It wasn't really any longer than usual but i had a longer wait in between flights so it felt worse i guess. The flight overnight was half empty and i had a whole row of three to myself but i couldn't lay out for more than an hour because my hip would hurt laying on hardish seats. At least i wasn't squashed up against anyone. The flight to Manchester was full but again the travel gods were with me and i had an empty seat beside me though i wouldn't have. I had been assigned one in the middle of three but was advised to ask at the gate closer to the flight. I did and she managed to get me an aisle seat and it ended up having the empty one next to me.

I trudged to the train station at Manchester airport and got into the city centre about 5:30 where Graham was waiting and we got home and relaxed. I had a sandwich and a cuppa and finally hit the sheets about 7:30. I couldn't stay upright any longer and even then, couldn't fall alseep easily. You get past that point and then the caffeine keeps your brain going too. Evenwith all the waking and falling back to sleep, i didn't get up for over 12 hours! We're having a slow morning, going to pick up some groceries and having a night in tonight. Got stuff on tomorrow but the weather is still up in the air (see what i did there?) :) Still not sure how much snow will fall and if it will be mixed with rain though that seems to be more or less the consensus at the moment.
