Aug. 22nd, 2016 08:30 amWe had to sort out some business at the bank on Friday afternoon. While waiting for the bus, Graham was hailed by my cousin C. and we ended up having dinner out with her and one of her friends after our appointment. I knew the friend as well, met her a few times over the years so it was a nice evening all and all.
Saturday was hot and sunny and we went to a big market near Truro with Mom. I remember this place as a small roadside stand and it's expanded and is now a huge establishment. There's a deli with food served and there's tables and chairs, then the bakery which has lots of lovely fresh goods, the produce section, groceries, gifts, garden centre and a small booze stall as well. They also have a fish market housed in a small lighthouse that has a large deck on the side and a wooden boat where you can order take out fish and chips and other seafood. We loaded up in the market then went over for fish and chips which was yummy. Truro is about an hour drive from home, making for a comfortable afternoon out though the added cost of gas might offset the cheaper market fruit and veg I suppose.
Didn't do anything yesterday. We had talked about a run out to see a classic car exhibit but I didn't really feel like it. There's a Corrie ping next weekend and then it will be September. Geesh. But September means I'll be on vacation a week or so after that so bring it on!
