I read that book probably 20 years ago. After i had seen Blade Runner. I just watched Blade Runner, Director's Cut tonight, another one of my all time favourite movies. Rutger Hauer is electric in it. But was Deckard a replicant or wasn't he? Director says yes he was but in the book, Deckard wasn't. Good website that lists for and against Is here. I prefer the Director Cut ending. The original was too cheesy. The ending is still ambiguous but it suits the movie better.

i'd prefer it if Deck wasn't a replicant - and spent a long time scoffing at people who thought he was; but on seeing the film again a few years back (the DC when it came out over here) I was hit by Gaff's line "You've done a man's job, sir!" and instantly changed my mind.

As far as the movie goes Decks a rep.
