Not long ago i noticed that my cordless mouse at work suddenly died. New batteries, i thought.
But no.
I had no idea why it refused to work so i found my old wired mouse and plugged it in and away i went. That was just a few days ago I think.
Today i wanted to use one of the USB points.
Didn't work.
None of them did, neither on the front or on the back.
But the flash drive worked on someone else's pc.
Helpdesk sent a tech around. He tried various things including reinstalling drivers.
Nowt.
He goes back to consult and research. Try a system restore, sez he, suggested by one of the other techs.
No joy. But i did get the mouse back to where it was working again. (he did something. I don't know what. And he reversed my mouse buttons and i couldn't get the mouse controller to switch them back. I've got my mouse set up for my left hand.)
They're all stumped. Even the guys that have lots of experience. They're going to order a new motherboard!
