Have just seen to my fourth load of laundry for the day which will empty the dirty clothes basket. Until i get undressed for bed tonight. *sigh* it's sheets and towels day, see. Have done a batch of muffins and i have chicken pieces thawing to bake later. Might try some sweet potato oven fries too.

A couple of photos of my niece in the fashion show from yesterday. Isn't she gorgeous???? *puffed up proud auntie*

And the painting for this week... I have to say it's not one of my favourites but it's ok. [livejournal.com profile] sammantha likes it though, for the memories of walking along the Southbank.

Oooh... I love that painting. And you can see the "gherkin" thing in it.

Thank you. Yes i put the gherkin in along with St. Paul's so the skyline would be more recognizable. It's definitely an artistic interpretation because i'm pretty sure it's not really in that visible part of skyline or at least not that distinct but I'm the artist and i can do what i like LOL I'm glad you like it though. Funny, it always seems that the ones that i do that i'm not as satisfied with are the ones other people really like.

Heh... you know I don't know london enough to tell if it is really *there* on the skyline (I don't recall it being that close to St. Pauls) but it does look good with the gherkin in place.

I don't think it is that close. Funny thing about the gherkin. You spot it when you least expect it. I was walking down Holborn and saw it in the far distance and i'd always thought it was closer to the Thames. I did walk in through the City to find it up close but it's in such a crowded small little opening surrounded by other buildings that you can't really get a good look up at it yet you can see it well from a distance.

It must have been exciting to see Staci. She looks so poised.
I like the painting too.

Staci looks great - did she enjoy the experience?
She looks right at home up there on the runway :)

I think she did once she got into it. THey all seemed very nervous their first go except for the dark haired one above. She was sashaying and waving and posing and having a ball. By their second or third time up, they were all more relaxed.

I love the painting sooo much...cause it was my most romantic time with Gary..the walk along that side of the Thames River. It was a magical moment and I will never forget it so I wanted the painting and asked her if I could buy it. She agreed :) So HANDS OFF EVERYONE..it is MINEEEE hehehe.
My daughter..the model lol..she was also in a movie I think I told ya'll..she was an extra and I was able to locate the lifetime movie..Sex and the Single Mom and get it sent to me from Amazon. You can see her in 3 spots..very quick I must say..but pretty good for an amateur!
